Autodesk is seeking an experienced sales and channel learning leader that will enable our direct and indirect sales and technical teams as the company transitions to an Industry focused go-to-market model. This transformation will require that Autodesk’s internal and external sales teams sell complete solutions across a broad portfolio of products and services that meet the customers’ specific business needs. This senior leader will be responsible for designing, planning, and measuring success of high quality sales and technical training and skills development programs. This role directly impacts revenue by ensuring that the sales and channel sales teams are trained to sell the company’s  solutions effectively. The role reports to the VP, Global Programs and Sales Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Create a learning culture where continuous investment is made in product/solutions, technical, and skills development
  • Partner with Industry Sales, Channel and Technical Specialists Leadership, and Industry Marketing to design, prioritize, and execute a broad range of onboarding, sales skills and process, and solution and technical training for the extended Autodesk sales and technical sales teams
  • Develop governance model and closed loop communication process to ensure key stakeholders help prioritize and champion our learning programs plans
  • Create a cross functional learning model that incorporates program development, subject matter expertise, and delivery models that ensure the success of Autodesk’s sales and partner teams
  • Develop new ways of delivering virtual and face-to-face learning through mobile, social media, and innovative role based methods
  • Assess current training programs and continue to build more robust role based training programs
  • Assess and invest in emerging training technologies to insure the Autodesk Learning environment is world-class
  • Conduct periodic performance needs analysis and performance gap analysis of Autodesk and Channel sales teams to determine new training opportunities
  • Measure effectiveness of training to sales results; build metrics to understand progress against goals
  • Evaluate, make recommendations for and promote appropriate outside sales development training; rationalize current external vendor spend by understanding ROI and role based applicability; create reinforcement and coaching models for sales management to ensure ROI
  • Promote all learning resources available to Autodesk and Channel sales and technical teams

Requirements

  • 15+ years business experience within global high-tech software or software as a service industries with direct and channel sales models
  • 7+ years sales and channel learning and development experience
  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and people management skills
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills
  • A team player with the ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively BUT also able to make difficult decisions when necessary
  • Outstanding communication skills: verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation
  • Ability to set realistic expectations and deliver results
  • Highly motivated, energetic, self-starter with a “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage through ambiguity and complexity
